Vandana Vishwas, an alumnus of NIT Raipur has achieved fame as a singer. She has released several successful albums. She graduated from NIT Raipur in 1992 with a degree in architecture. Along with her husband Vishwas, Vandana is focusing on singing.
In this video she explains Indian classical music. She provides examples of ragas by singing some popular songs.

Wing Commander Subhash Sindhwani of NIT Raipur 1970 Mechanical engineering batch, presented a talk about understanding taxation in the United States. He studied at IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE). He is currently Chairman at Chanakya Academy & Chanakya Management Services P Ltd. He has attained certification in US taxation, and is working as H&R Block tax consultant.
Dr. Gajendra Pandey, an NIT Raipur alumnus of 2000 Mechanical Engineering got his PhD from Stony Brook industry. He has been an industry leader in his domain while also understanding nutrition and food. He has a certification in nutrition and exercise science from INFS (Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Science). This talk was delivered on 1/27/2024 in which he explained the nuances of nutrition.

We at NITRUS talks were honored to present a talk by Dr. Vasudev Makhija, a psychiatrist in New Jersey, on promoting wellness and resilience for preventing tragedies. In the talk he addresses topics such as stress and anxiety, stigma of mental illness, barriers to help seeking.
Dr. Makhija is a Diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Distinguished Life Fellow, American Psychiatric Association. He is the Founder and President of SAMHIN, South Asian Mental Health Initiative and Network, a non-profit organization that addresses the mental health needs of the South Asian community in the U.S. SAMHIM runs programs such as mental wellness, divorced women support, suicide loss survivor support group, alcoholics support group etc.
